Jyri Meriläinen

Owner and CEO (M.Sc., EurGeol)

A Finnish economic geologist with over 20 years of industry experience across various mining and exploration projects in the Nordics. Prior to founding Taiga Geoservices in 2018, Jyri held various roles for major Nordic enterprises such as LKAB and Outokumpu Oy, as well as several private companies.

As the sole owner of Taiga Geoservices, Jyri is involved in all aspects of project acquisition, planning, execution, and reporting in accordance with CRIRSCO-aligned reporting standards and modern operational work flows. Jyri’s expertise encompasses most metallic deposit types across the Nordic region, and his special competence is the cross-functional utilization of geological information for a successful mineral project.

Jyri is very well-connected within the Nordic minerals industry network and being based in Berlin, Germany, is readily accessible to international clients.
